RCB player Daniel Sams tests positive for COVID-19 ahead of IPL 2021


This is not the first case of COVID-19 among IPL teams as earlier the likes of Nitish Rana, Axar Patel and RCB's Devdutt Padikkal had contracted the infection.

In a massive blow to the Royal Challengers Bangalore, who are set to play Mumbai Indians in the tournament opener in two days time, Australian all-rounder Daniel Sams has tested positive for Coronavirus. “Sams is currently asymptomatic and he is currently in isolation at a designated medical facility,” the franchise confirmed in an official statement. This is not the first case of COVID-19 among IPL teams as earlier the likes of Nitish Rana, Axar Patel and RCB’s Devdutt Padikkal had contracted the infection.

PSL 2023 Live Score, Live Scorecard, Venue and More

The eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been scheduled to take place from February 13 to March 19, 2023. The PSL 2023 draft took place on December 15, 2022 in Karachi, where 36 foreign players were picked alongside local players. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced Multan, Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi as the venues for the tournament in 2023. A total of six teams including defending champions Lahore Qalandars, Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators will face each other in a double round robin stage to qualify for the playoffs. In the Qualifiers, the top two teams play Qualifier 1 while the bottom two lock horns in Eliminator like the Indian Premier League. The loser of Qualifier 1 then take on the winner of the Eliminator in Qualifier 2 to book a berth in the final against the winner of Qualifier 1.
