RCB player Daniel Sams tests positive for COVID-19 ahead of IPL 2021


This is not the first case of COVID-19 among IPL teams as earlier the likes of Nitish Rana, Axar Patel and RCB's Devdutt Padikkal had contracted the infection.

In a massive blow to the Royal Challengers Bangalore, who are set to play Mumbai Indians in the tournament opener in two days time, Australian all-rounder Daniel Sams has tested positive for Coronavirus. “Sams is currently asymptomatic and he is currently in isolation at a designated medical facility,” the franchise confirmed in an official statement. This is not the first case of COVID-19 among IPL teams as earlier the likes of Nitish Rana, Axar Patel and RCB’s Devdutt Padikkal had contracted the infection.
