BCCI open to hosting IPL 2021 across multiple cities in India: Reports

  The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is said to be exploring the option of hosting the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) across four to five cities in India itself.  The source further revealed that BCCI has also shortlisted a few cities in the running to host IPL 2021. In addition to Mumbai and Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad are the other venues being considered. World Cup winning all-rounder Yusuf Pathan announces retirement from all forms of cricket

  Yusuf Pathan announced his retirement from international cricket on Friday. He played 174 IPL matches while featured in 57 ODIs for India. With the emergence of new finishers in the domestic circuit, Yusuf fell out of favour after 2012 and never played international cricket again. However, he kept on entertaining fans in the IPL. PSL 2021: Unnamed player tests positive for COVID-19 ahead of tournament opener

  The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday have confirmed that a player from a franchise participating in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021 has returned positive result for the mandatory COVID-19 test. The development comes ahead of the tournament opener between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators later on Saturday and the player, whose name has not been revealed, has been sent into a quarantine for 10 days. The Board also confirmed that the player will only be able to rejoin the squad after he returns two negative tests which is in sync with the re-entry protocols applicable to players testing positive for the infection. Sam Curran to miss India Tests, to join for white-ball series

  England all-rounder Sam Curran, who was earlier expected to join the national squad for the fourth Test against India in Ahmedabad, will now arrive with the limited-overs squad. He will feature in the white-ball series set to commence with the first T20I on March 12. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed on Thursday that Curran could not travel on an earlier date due to logistical issues. Notably, Curran was not part of the squad for the first three Tests against India at a time when England’s rotational policy is at the forefront. As part of this arrangement, Jos Buttler and Moeen Ali flew back home after playing a Test match each.
