 During the IPL 2024 auction, all ten teams of the Indian Premier League completed their squad of players after an intense few hours of bidding on Tuesday, December 19. The highly anticipated auction saw Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins get bids over INR 20 crore from Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad; respectively.

The inaugural IPL champions, Rajasthan Royals have a very good side on paper with solid batters and gun bowlers in squad. Hence, they had a less work to do in the IPL 2024 auction

The defending champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have retained their major core of players from the previous season ahead of the IPL 2024 auction. However, the franchise opted to release big players like Ben Stokes, who however will be unavailable for IPL 2024.
